About Stephen Woodley

Steve received a DMD degree in 1982 from Washington University and law degree from St. Louis University School of Law in 1986. Since joining Gray Ritter Graham, he has been lead trial counsel in several hundred medical negligence cases throughout Missouri. His practice also concentrates on automobile and trucking accidents. 

Steve has been a frequent lecturer at law, medical and dental schools, and professional societies on medical and dental negligence, and has also given continuing legal education presentations on a number of topics. He was on the court-appointed committee that developed form interrogatories for medical negligence cases in St. Louis and co-authored Missouri Civil Trial Practice publications on voir dire and wrongful death damages.

Steve has been, since 2003, recognized in Best Lawyers® in America. He was named Best Lawyers® 2021 “St. Louis Personal Injury Plaintiffs’ Lawyer of the Year” and Best Lawyers® 2018,” St. Louis Medical Malpractice Lawyer of the Year.”

Steve is licensed to practice in Missouri, Illinois and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
