Dan counsels clients in complex commercial cases, ranging from class actions and mass torts to small business disputes. His practice also concentrates on helping families and hardworking individuals recover in wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases.

Dan is a quick study and careful practitioner earning numerous awards and appointments, including the Illinois State Bar Association’s Lincoln Award and the American Bar Association’s Mendes Hershman Award. Dan is proud to have been elected to leadership positions in the community, including Chair-Elect of the Younger Lawyers Division for the Federal Bar Association and Co-Chair of the Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition. 

Dan has substantial experience in the federal court system, having first clerked for Chief Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, followed by an appellate clerkship for Circuit Judge Ralph R. Erickson in the United State Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
